Meet Cas!

Hello from Mexico!!

My name is Cas, short for Cassie. I'm a masters student studying Mesoamerican economy in Mexico and Belize. Once my schooling is complete, I will have a B.A. in Anthropology, a B.A. in Classical and Mediterranean studies (concentration in archaeology), a minor in Jewish Studies and a M.A. in Anthropology. I am trained in lithic analysis, specializing in obsidian blade technology.

Hill and I on Mt. Cardigan in NH, in 2014

Hill and I have been dating for almost two years now. We lived together briefly, but circumstances regarding our university conspired to need her to transfer to another college in Texas. Hill is studying Applied Behavior Analysis, eventually to a master's and works as a professional dog trainer with 12 years of experience in agility, Rally-Obedience, Conformation, and professional training. I adore Hill, and I'm so happy to have such an amazing person in my life.

What a doofus.

When I'm not working as an archaeologist, I do work in comparative biblical studies, ancient Greek and Latin. When I take a break from school, which is rarely, I am an avid video-game player and watcher of terrible action movies. I also enjoy cooking and spending entire days on tumblr while wrapped in a nest of blankets. Cheers, adulthood! I also work with dogs in a daycare setting, have had years of kennel experience, and have done private contracting for a horse farm. Many hats, for many different days.

Me and Harley Quinn. She was too naked to be allowed out of my jacket in March.

I love dogs and I've always owned them either on my own or in conjunction with Hill. Currently, there is a small pack of Papillons and my little pyr shep, in addition to dogs that live with our parents, including my lovely GSD mix, Maia, who I raised from a pup. I'm very excited to be welcoming Tali into our family, and I am very excited to personally own a dog once again!

Maia!!
